12 Days of Christmas-Day 8

On the 8th Day of Christmas, I had intended a completely different project. However, in the Northeast, we had a crazy storm that rolled through, leaving power outages and bad internet connections. Wanting to go live on Facebook as promised was important, so I threw together a quick project with a scrap I had on my desk, saving my planned project for the next day.

The scrap I had was a 2” x 6” strip of the Lighter Than Air DSP that is available on January 5th. It was a fun and bright stripe that inspired me to trim it down to 2” x 4”

I embossed a piece of Balmy Blue cut to 4” x 5 1/4”. The folder is from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle that will be free with a purchase of $100 during Saleabration. The folder comes with a stamp set that has some wonderful greetings and two step stamping images.

I cut a Lemon Lolly card base to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4”. I adhered the embossed layer to the card front. I added the strip of DSP across the front. Created with a greeting and label from the soon to be Perennial Postage Bundle, I then finished it off with the Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots! I simply love these dots! They are low profile making them great for mailing. But, mostly they are nostalgic, bringing me back to my childhood days when we would buy strip of candy dots on paper strips.
Once complete, I felt the card needed just a bit more so I added a piece of Baker’s Twine from the three pack in Flirty Flamingo.

You can watch how I made this card come together below. While at YouTube, be sure to like and follow my page so that you do not miss out on any of the crafty fun!
