Boy, this has really been a fun week to create. I almost never do a color challenge. I tend to challenge myself to a stamp or bundle. I can’t wait to try a Fall Color Spotlight or Christmas! Maybe even Halloween without them actually being Halloween cards!
Today’s card has a true patriotic feel to it…stars and stripes all the way! There are a few elements I pulled in to give it a little feel of the sacrifice that our military make. Stars and stripes are obvious, but I choose the Postage dies to reflect those that are away from their families and look forward to the good old pen and paper letters.
The greeting, while not exactly military, does reflect each person’s story, whether it be in the military or not.
Stamps: Inspiring Imperfections #165161 $19
Inks: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ and scrap for die cutting/punching
Blueberry Bushel cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and five pieces cut to 4″ x 1/4″ plus scrap for punching
Basic white cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″-cut two and scrap for punching
