I had no intention of starting my own little business, especially a paper crafting business! It was not a hobby of mine.
I was invited to a Stampin’ Up! card class and brought my two teenage daughters along. Since we were not paper crafters, we purchased alot of products that night with the intent to make Christmas cards and gifts. The order came in and sat on a dining room chair for over a month as life was busy. Sound familiar?
Well, early December 2008, the Northeast had a massive Nor’easter that brought ice storms thay wiped out power for weeks. We were without power for 11 days. That means no heat, no running water! About 5 days in, the girls and I finally pulled out those bags and we were hooked! I joined Stampin’Up! 3 months later in an attempt to save the minimum 20% discount.
Seven years later, my girls went off to college and I was left with no regular crafting ftiends. I called my childhood best friend and asked her to host a party (a non crafter, BTW) and the rest is history.
