That is right. I have been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for 17 years now.
I had no intention of starting my own little business, especially a paper crafting business! It was not a hobby of mine.
I was invited to a Stampin’ Up! card class and brought my two teenage daughters along. Since we were not paper crafters, we purchased a lot of products that night with the intent to make Christmas cards and gifts. The order came in and sat on a dining room chair for over a month as life was busy. Sound familiar?
Well, early December 2008, the Northeast had a massive Nor’easter that brought ice storms that wiped out power for weeks. We were without power for 11 days. That means no heat, no running water! About 5 days in, the girls and I finally pulled out those bags and we were hooked! I joined Stampin’Up! 3 months later in an attempt to save the minimum 20% discount.
Seven years later, my girls went off to college and I was left with no regular crafting friends. I called my childhood best friend and asked her to host a party (a non crafter, BTW) and the rest is history.
Covid hit and I was forced to learn some technology to keep our local stamp groups together, sharing, laughing and having fun. That was the start of my online stamping world!
What I didn’t know…
– I would meet so many amazing paper crafters both near and far!
– that I would enjoy sharing my projects and what I’m working on!
-that it would challenge me to stretch myself!
– that I would find “my peeps.”
Here I am, almost 17 years after that first card class, and I am so grateful that you all bless me everyday!
So, join me this week while I party each day!
I will create a total of 17 projects this week during my 2pm timeslot on Facebook. Say hello. For every like, comment and share, you will be entered to be randomly selected to win a wide variety of door prizes. During Friday’s live, I will randomly choose names to end the week!

As you can see by the above schedule, today we completed a card sketch template. I choose one template and created three cards using the same template, showcasing different products. Using different papers, colors and embellishments, we used the same sketch to create three very different cards.
I have a sketch club that so far has completed sketches #1-16. So I called this sketch S-1 for Special Sketch
