Well, I couldn’t fit in a Fun Fold video on Friday, so OI decided to pop on Saturday to try a technique I had seen. I stumbled up a card that was created by Texas Sharon. While I did not take the time to watch the video, I decide that I wanted to try the techniques, so I experimented live.
While I used several new products, the star of the show was a carry over product that I owned, but had never opened–we all have those, right? Pearlized Enamel Effects! I used the Basice version, but there is a metallic version too. So I had thought that these were intended to primarily use to make “bling” to put on cards. You know, little embellishments. Stampin’Up! offers so many greta little embellishments, I never took the time to play with this product. Then, I discovered Sharon’s card!!!! so, I gave it a go.
I used:
Stamps: Unbounded Love
Inks: Summer Splash Ink Pad and a Petunia Pop ink refill
Card stock: Thick white cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″ 24/26 In Color 6 x 6 DSP cut to 2″ x 5 1/4″ (I use the leftover in the video so there is minimal waste)
Accessories: Summer Splash Bordered Ribbon, Unbounded Love Dies, Small Blending Brushes, Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder
You can watch the video here to see just how this cool product was applied and the shiny results: https://youtu.be/S6A02Dti-kg
